Advanced Skills courses and workshops

Practical ideas to help you improve your classroom practice

British Council will help you develop your teaching skills in specialist areas linked to the curriculum. Most courses were originally developed for MOE and are now available as public courses or for closed courses at your school. They are interactive and hands-on so you can learn by doing.

Advanced Skills Courses cover all aspects of English Language teaching, methodology and teaching approaches. Whole School Approach to English Programmes and programmes that fit in to your Whole School Approach to English (WSEA) schemes.

Our 3-hour or 6-hour workshops are easy to do bite-size training sessions that give you practical ideas for your classroom teaching. Amongst our range you'll find workshops that look at Exam Skills, Learning Styles, Language Focus, the 4 Skills and New Media. They are easy to fit in with your busy schedules.

Whether  your school is a government school or an independent school, we have a wide range of options available to you. We can also tailor courses and workshops to your needs. We can bring all our courses and workshops out to your school on days and times to suit you.

Check the dates and times of our scheduled courses by clicking on the course descriptions below. For full details of our complete range of programmes, or for our WSA-EC programmes, email Susan Teo or call her on +65 6470 7159.
