Cambridge Admissions Tests
Cambridge Assessment has been providing research-led and evidence based solutions for major higher education institutions for over 20 years and develops and delivers carefully-targeted admissions tests to help the selection process. In capacity of an overseas test centre, British Council Singapore administers the following admission tests for entry into higher education.
Biomedical Admissions Test (BMAT)
The BioMedical Admissions Test (BMAT) is a subject-specific admissions test taken by applicants to Medicine, Veterinary Medicine and related courses at the following institutions:
- University of Cambridge
- University of Oxford
- University College London
- Imperial College London
- The Royal Veterinary College
The BMAT registration has closed.
When will the BMAT results be released?
The BMAT results will be released from 00:00hrs GMT via Results Online System on 23rd November 2011.
Cambridge Assessment are unable to reissue candidate PINs for security reasons. Candidates who have lost their PIN will need to ask the Examinations Officer at the centre where they took the BMAT to download a Statement of Results on their behalf.
The English Literature Admissions Test (ELAT)
The English Literature Admissions Test (ELAT) is a pre-interview admissions test for applicants to undergraduate courses in English at the University of Oxford.
The test is designed to enable applicants to show their ability in the key skills of close reading, paying attention to such elements as the language, imagery, allusion, syntax, form and structure of the passages set for comment.
The ELAT registration has closed.
When will the ELAT results be released?
The ELAT results will be released from 00:00hrs GMT via Results Online System on 13th January 2012.
The Oxford Thinking Skills Assessment (TSA Oxford)
The Oxford Thinking Skills Assessment (TSA Oxford) is a pre-interview admissions test for applications to undergraduate courses in Philosophy, Politics and Economics (PPE), Economics and Management (E&M), Experimental Psychology (EP) and Psychology, Physiology and Philosophy (PPP) at the University of Oxford.
For students applying to University of Cambridge and University College London (UCL), these universities will arrange test sittings for students who need to do TSA.
The TSA Oxford registration has closed.
When will the TSA Oxford results be released?
The TSA Oxford results will be released from 00:00hrs GMT via Results Online System on 13th January 2012.
Sixth Term Examination Paper (STEP)
Sixth Term Examination Paper (STEP) is a well-established Mathematics university admission test, which is used to help select very academically able students for courses which are usually oversubscribed.
STEP Mathematics is used by University of Cambridge and University of Warwick to assess the suitability of candidates for their Mathematics courses.

History Aptitude Test (HAT)
The History Aptitude Test (HAT) is a two-hour subject-specific admissions test, which is taken by applicants to the University of Oxford’s undergraduate degree courses in History and its joint schools.
Cambridge Assessment is working in partnership with the University of Oxford to administer the HAT from the November 2011 test sitting.
For paper format and related information, refer to University of Oxford’s Faculty of History.
All students applying for the following courses at the University of Oxford are required to take HAT: History (V100), History (Ancient and Modern) (V118), History and Economics (LV11), History and English (VQ13), all History and Modern Languages courses, History and Politics (LV21).
The HAT registration has closed.
When will the HAT results be released?
The University of Oxford does not issue results automatically, but from 10th January 2012, candidates may apply to their College in writing, or by email to schools.liaison@history.ox.ac.uk to find out their HAT score.
Physics Aptitude Test (PAT)
The Physics Aptitude Test (PAT) is a two-hour subject-specific admissions test, which is taken by applicants to all University of Oxford Physics and Engineering undergraduate degree courses.
Cambridge Assessment is working in partnership with the University of Oxford to administer the PAT from the November 2011 test sitting.

All students applying for the following courses at the University of Oxford are required to take PAT: Physics (3 year course F300; 4 year course F303), Physics and Philosophy (VF53), Engineering Science (various course codes), Engineering, Economics and Management (EEM) (HLN0).
The PAT registration has closed.
When will the PAT results be released?
For Physics courses: the College to which the candidate applied will provide feedback on the test after the admissions process is complete. The PAT results can be requested from the respective colleges from 10 January 2012.
