Register in person, by post or online
Register in person or by post:
- Download an IELTS Application Form.
- Complete and sign the form.
- Attach two recent passport-size photographs (you must not be wearing spectacles or sunglasses) to the application form.
- Also attach a photocopy of your NRIC (if you are a Singaporean) or your passport (if you are not a Singaporean).
- Submit the form in person at our Napier Road Centre or by post to: British Council, 30 Napier Road, Singapore 258509.
- Payment:
a. Cash/Cheque/NETS/Credit Card if you register in person at Napier Road Centre.
b. Cheque for S$310.00 payable to 'British Council', if you are applying by post.
Whether you register online or in person or by post, the IELTS test fee is S$310.00.

Reading, Writing and Listening tests are on Saturday mornings between 9.00 a.m. - 12.30 p.m. at either the Civil Service College or Singapore Management University.
Speaking tests are between 9.00 a.m. - 5.00 p.m. on a weekday after the Reading, Writing and Listening tests. The speaking tests are held at either the British Council, Napier Road or Singapore Management University.
Your choice of dates for the Speaking test depends upon availability at the time of application.

IELTS results are released 13 calendar days after the test.
You can view your results online here.
(The system will not display results older than 28 days after the test.)
By default, Test Report Forms are mailed to candidates' submitted address on the results release day.
Candidates may also opt to collect their Test Report Form in person from our Napier Road centre (after 3.00 p.m.) with their ID document. This request must be made during registration.
Candidates strictly receive only one copy of the Test Report Form.
Candidates are given five free copies of the Test Report Form (TRF) to be sent directly to receiving institutions / organizations. These complimentary copies will be available up till two months after the test date. After which, or if more than five copies are required, each copy of the TRF is charged at SGD$21.00 (local delivery).
